I have an old OS 9 hard drive. It is easy to get inside of it. Google it. I
have done it and I had to take off maybe 5 screws I will sell it to you for $15

Subject: Re: G3 Slot Loading Imac

Ok, I tried the paper clip thingy without success. I went into open
firmware and typed "eject cd" but it said it couldn't do it. I tried
holding down the mouse button and rebooting, also without success.
Another strange thing is when you start up the little OS9 happy mac
shows up and then it eventually goes into OS X. Once it goes to OS X
it asks me for a password which I don't know. So it never goes any
further. How hard are these computers to get apart? Can I replace
this hard drive with another? But then I can't load another OS
because the CD/DVD won't eject what is in it. Catch 22. Any ideas??
