Do you know a way to disable the internal screen?

I have an Intel iMac 17" and the screen went bad. So I connected the
video-out to my TV, placed it behind the TV, put XBMC on it, and now use it
as a media center for showing photos and playing video and serving music to
my Roku Soundbridge. You might want to go that route, fixing the screen is
just waaay to expensive for some reason.
