Sometimes the RAM isn't labeled, especially if it was replaced and not
original. I've also seen ones where the stickers get old and fall off.
It's very annoying when they're not labeled.
Besides, OSX will start with 92Mb of RAM, it just runs VERY slow, so
as long as it has more then 92Mb it should start.
Anyways,
You might try installing the system on the iMac, instead of on another
computer. (If you can... I know 10.3 did come on CD's, so you might
try that)
Another thing to try is taking out the RAM one at a time to see if
they're all good. See if you can get it to boot from a CD, such as
OS9, or OSX on CD. If it still doesn't, it's probably hardware, but if
it does it's probably just the system.
