It shouldn't be, the flash drive should still be usable whether even if it is USB 2. Any ideas how? > Any other backup ideas? If they both have FireWire then you can use a FW cable between them and use FW Target Disk Mode. Old down the "t" key one one and the FireWire symbol will start bouncing around the screen. That machine can then be used just like a firewire drive.
