Firefox 3 requires Tiger or better. (And Firefox 3.6 will be the last for Tiger. So you're limited to Firefox 2 for Panther. Normal-distribution Firefox 2 is a slow pig. But RPMozley has thoughtfully provided an *optimized* Firefox 2 build using a more up-to-date Gecko engine. Give it a whirl.
