Pull the HD and attach it to a Mac that can run Tiger and has a DVD 
drive and do the install there.

Another possibility is to use a USB DVD drive but that is iffy.  Only 
some Macs can boot from USB.  I've had a slot loading iMac boot OS 9 
from USB but not OS X.  I don't know about a tray loader though.
