You might try turning the drive, or the machine that it's in, upside down. 
I've done that before as it turns out that even though they are sealed drives, 
there is still lubrication that ends up getting warm and flowing to the bottom. 
So, in order to get the lubrication to move to the other side, turn the machine 
upside down and let it run that way. Or if that doesn't work, and you're brave 
enough to take the drive out, then do so and put it into anything that has a 
power cable to connect it to it and just let it run upside down for awhile. The 
same principle works for the older box fans you put into a window. I had a 
friend that had one that would make a noise like a banshee. He turned it upside 
down so the knob that was on top, was now on the bottom. Once he did that, the 
fan got nice and quiet. It doesn't take long to fix this problem as I've done 
it on more than one occasion, without harming the drive.

Just my 2 cents worth, especially if you don't want to hear the noise.
