My mom used it for four months before I needed it for my iMac, so I know that it should work (I used it for a month after getting my iMac too) I am going to try it again, and i've been testing some settings, including Manual and DHCP with manual address settings. So far, not much, gonna try tweaking the router, and using a second wifi router to keep my main system from going off the web for a few minutes\hours.
