I'm thinking about buying some broken iMacs (any model but G3) off eBay for refurbishment. Has anybody here been in their iMac and tried to repair it, and how easy was it? Would it be worth it?
Be very careful working out the logistics. It's a very tough market. Sure there are people around that overpay for working Macs. But that only works out now and then.
The overhead of doing refirbs can be killer... Base cost of the machine. Shipping from the seller to you. Repair parts. Shipping from you to the ultimate buyer. It all ads up, resulting in a higher priced machine.
