I'd like to add my 2 cents too.
The mini has been confirmed to perform a bit better via. FW 800
external. I'd take that into consideration.

half way down.
And I wouldn't buy a newer Intel Mac without Apple Care because though
nice some still die early. The  Apple Store recently had some minis on
the refurbished Mac section.
