I recently received an iMac G5 (Powermac8,1) 20" in mint condition as
a trade for my G4 iBook, and even though it has a 250GB HDD, I was
wondering if I could fit something more like 1TB or better off 2TB. I
am not sure how much HDD space a G5 iMac Late 2004 can take, but I
really need to put in 2TB or the more the better. Note: This G5 iMac
uses a SATA drive. I do alot of photo editing an do much needed
network backups. THe network backups I will do on an external, but
like I said I need as big of an HDD as I can get for my G5 iMac.
System specs:
PowerPC G5 (970fx) 1.8Ghz
1GB DDR RAM
250GB HDD
Mac OS X 10.5.8
20" screen.
You could probably fit a 2 TB 3.5" internal SATA drive such as these
