I prefer to think of the Leopard desktop as 'magenta'.

Uhh, dude, you DO know you can change the desktop backgroun? I've got a folder of about 100-150 
pictures gleaned from the web 
(mostly<http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/>,<http://www.ubcbotanicalgarden.org/potd/>, 
and<http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/>) and cycle 'em as a slide show.
