At least the Mac forums don't usually have "tl;dr" (at least I would hope not). There is almost nothing I find more annoying than someone who has nothing to add to a well thought out conversation (and is in fact too lazy to even bother to find out what the conversation is) posting a response telling the rest of the world that they have nothing to do with the conversation. Even more aggravating is the fact that they use such a short abbreviation. The least they could do is take the time to write "I don't feel like reading all that or thinking up anything helpful, but I'm lonely and I feel like adding a comment anyway will somehow make me more important."
It's mostly things like that that keep me away from forums in general. Apart from the LEM lists and the comments sections of certain blogs, I don't bother with forums because there is so little real information and so much useless bickering.
