iStat Menus does a nice graphic, instead of dumb-a** cell phone bars.
FWIW, I've seen Finder go nutz in Tiger, Leo, and SL, for no apparent
reason. Sometimes it lasts about 15 secs, sometimes minutes. It
doesn't seem to be splotchlight related. I was thinking maybe it was
busy generating previews or something. Not sure.
