Just to add, Sonnet also offered the EG4-1000-1M-U 1GHz as well as the EG4-500-1M 500 MHz for the blue and white G3.
However, they have both been discontinued. I wouldn't say they were cheap or easy to find, unfortunately. I found only one Sonnet on ebay, a 466 and it's £150. There are some third party sellers, but in my experience, when they say 10-15 days lead time, it means, "we will check with the manufacturer because we don't stock them". However, as Felix mentions, the PowerLogix PowerForce G3 ZIF cpu is currently available and its $109.99. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/accelerators/PowerLogix/PowerForce-ZIF/ On 21 January 2011 05:56, Ashgrove <[email protected]> wrote: > > > You can easily find a G4 > 500Mhz Sonnet CPU very cheap, and OWC has a G3 1Ghz PowerLogix upgrade > for around $100. > > Best of luck, > > Felix > > -- > You received this message because you are a member of the iMac Group, a > group for those using Apple iMacs and eMacs. > The list FAQ is at http://lowendmac.com/imac/list.shtml and our netiquette > guide is at http://www.lowendmac.com/lists/netiquette.shtml > To post to this group, send email to [email protected] > To leave this group, send email to > [email protected]<imaclist%[email protected]> > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/imaclist > -- You received this message because you are a member of the iMac Group, a group for those using Apple iMacs and eMacs.
