This is a topic in itself, you know: "My Dream Machine." Love the
mockup --it looks very real, and lust-worthy. Newer Macs are getting
TOO stark for my taste. The 11" MacBook Air is literally a work of
art, and those of you who have felt one in their hands will know just
how light and perfect they are. But it's a very cold, intimidating
look, all brushed metal and no ports. The older Macs were more
inviting, the keyboards had a nicer feel to them, and the laptops
didn't cut into your wrists like the new ones do.

They belong in austere white rooms, all glass and metal, sparely
furnished, beautiful to behold, but utterly uninhabitable. A friend of
mine had an apartment like that, and every time I went there I
couldn't wait to get out. But I'm ranting…
