Hmm...turns out the shop couldn't reproduce the problem. He said he blew out several bagloads of dust and re-seated everything and it worked fine for him. Makes me think maybe I hadn't seated one of the new RAM sticks fully. But who knows. $100 gone and everything's fine. C'est la guerre.
