I've used mainly Seagate and Western Digital drives, and have had some of each brand fail. I've never had a Toshiba or Fujitsu fail, but I've only used a couple of those. Seagate had some issues with 1.5TB drives I believe, but that was a while back. Best advice is to buy from a site that has reviews and will accept returns.
