This might man that the disk is copy-protected. I don't know, I've never had to delve into the mysteries of HandBrake, it just worked for me... Honestly the simplest solution may well just to buy a region-free dvd player. googling "region free dvd player" brings up a lot of hits in the $35-$45 region (ha hah) -- Bruce Johnson "Wherever you go, there you are."
