Ok, this thing has been sitting in the repo for way too long; let's get it out there before I come up with more things to tweak & tune.
PIL 1.1.7 release candidate for Python 2.X is now available. This release contains tons of bug fixes, and numerous new features, including color management support (based on Kevin Cazabon's pyCMS package), support for reading interlaced PNG files (from Conrado Porto Lopes GouvĂȘa) and improved PNG compression (from Alexey Borzenkov), improved support for 64-bit platforms, and lots of other tweaks and fixes. For more details, see: http://hg.effbot.org/pil-2009-raclette/src/pil-117c1-20091101/CHANGES To get your hands on this release candidate, grab a source archive from: http://hg.effbot.org/pil-2009-raclette/downloads/ or Windows binaries for Python 2.5 and 2.6 from: http://effbot.org/downloads/#pil (source archives will appear on effbot.org/downloads as well, later this week). This release has been built and tested on a variety of platforms, but I'm still interested in feedback from Mac OS X and non-Linux Unix flavours. Hopefully, this will be the only release candidate, and will be promoted (with a few trivial fixes that's already sitting in the repository) to final status next week. </F> _______________________________________________ Image-SIG maillist - Image-SIG@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/image-sig
