I agree completely. I have seen very large Access databases work just fine,
but in the situation you discribed there will certainly be problems.
What I don't know is when this occurs on a typical Imail system. How often
is the database actually used if there are webmail-users only. If the
database connection is opened only when a webmail user logs in Access should
be able to handle a very large number of users. On the other hand if there
is a new database connection every time a user requests a new page Access
will not handle 1000:s of users too well.
Does anyone know how this works? When can we expect trouble with Access?
