No, that is not the problem. I subscribed to this list
via the ipswitch support web page...therefore, your
proposition is not correct. There is something wrong
with the list server...that's all. I am sending this note
via web-based email...works fine...I STILL cannot send
via outlook98. Note that this web-based email is configured
to send only my name and domain, not the machine name...so
that's not the problem. Sorry, but the list server is broken...

The Web Messaging will typically use the email address form
'[EMAIL PROTECTED]' and if you used that to sign up to the list, an
email with the return address of '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' does NOT match what the
list server knows, so you are not allowed to send to the list (only
subscribers are allowed to send). It is likely to be that simple!
