Judging by the fact that the only attempt that we've seen to unsubscribe in
this manner was misspelled, I'm willing to bet that several people DID
successfully unsubscribe that way.
I read in the IMail 5.0 manual that "unsubscribe" or "remove", (or one other
word, which I forget) alone in the subject line will cause the sender to be
unsubscribed by the IMail List Server, IF the administrator enables the
feature.
Since Ipswitch's manual recommends that, I assumed you had enabled it.
I'm pretty sure I didn't get a welcome message, but I pay close attention to
the manual.
I know of at least 5 ways to get oneself removed from a list - if the
moderator is willing.
I'm a moderator, and I figure that sending the unwilling subscriber on his
merry way is part of my job.
