Hold on, hold on.
I have the same, and from what I think, I believe that the problem is that in Oracle, in order to log on as the user which has the rights to the MAIL_DOMAIN_COM table, you need a password.
But you have not suipplied this password anywhere (since You can not enter a password in the ODBC setup, you jsut enter the user name).

THerefore, since you can not enter the password, the Oracle user is not authenticated, therefore you can not read the IMAIL users/password table which resides in Oracle, therefore the Web user is not being authenticated, because he is just waiting and waiting for his password to get authenticated.

Or did you somehow solve this password problem?  Where do you supply the Oracle password in ODBC?

make sure that the web service is logging on as a user with permissions to the database.

Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Web and Oracle8

We decided to install in a new PC all the Imail 5.0 and creating new customer accounts, everything was ok with the web service but we wanted to work with the accounts with Oracle 8 across ODBC, and we started working and the results were satisfactory. We created the accounts in Oracle 8 and Imail worked perfectly. But suddenly we were to the web service and everytime we introduce a login and password, the web page stay wainting for a long time and nothing happens. We are a little bit bored. I need help. Does it works the web service with the accounts with Oracle 8 ?

Thank .
