Our Web Mail craps out about once every two weeks too. Stopping and
restarting the service will not solve the problem for us. We have to reboot
the server, and it will again work for a week or two.
I'm not sure what's causing it, but as it happens almost always on a
Saturday or Sunday, I think it is caused by Web Mail users not logging off.
All other services continue to work when Web Mail dies.
