There are also several problems in the configuration of the
cydian.com zone
file. ie, with SOA record, differences between zone data and
delegation
data, etc.
To expand on the first example, the SOA record points to a nameserver
"cydiandns101.cydiandomain", which is an unresolvable hostname.

On my DNS server (a stand alone box), under Windows NT / Networking
configurations, under
the "DNS" tab, we have indicated that the "Host Name" is cydiandns101,
and the "Domain" is cydiandomain, hence you are seeing
"cydiandns101.cydiandomain".
It appears that this is cascading down to the SOA records, as you indicated.
Should I modify the SOA records to point to ns1.cydian.com
which is the "internet" domain/subdomain for the name server?
Do I do this in one place or for each record?
Is there a default place to set this up so it applies to all new records?
Should I change the host name / domain under the "DNS" tab of TCP/IP properties
under Network Settings?
