If you can install the box locally on your network and then move it you will
probably be better off. You should be able to perform a standard install
and then change the IP address of the server. Since you likely won't be
running WINS accross the internet you would then have to setup a hosts /
lmhosts file entry on your original server to find the BDC and vice versa.
I have never done this on the public internet, but I would imagine there are
probably security concerns with replicating your NT user database across the
internet. You should probably do some research about this, but using PPTP
between the servers would probably be a good start.
