I'm thinking about letting people click on a web site link which would send
them an email with a .pdf attached, so the .pdf could get pretty
big. Maybe this isn't a good idea, since the encoding doubles the file
size vs a direct http or ftp DL. In Europe, all local calls are metered so
I really don't want increase on-line times.
In addition to the larger file size, I also have the repeated experience
where POP3 attached file transfers appear to be much longer (ie, the modem
light is never hard on) than http or ftp transfer (can leave the rcv light
on full time).
oh, just a thought, but an autoresponder+file could be useful under certain
conditions.

vacation.ima works the same as an .inf file? why not just do it with an
.inf file?
I then copied vacation.ima to a users folder and sent it a
>message. I got back an auto-response with bloomers.exe
>attached to it.
cool.
I'll play around this weekend with it and let the list know.
Thanks,
