I already wrote about this, but strange enough, never read my own message.
It dissapeared ?
Today I read about someone having (almost) the same trouble we have, but
the other person is using Imail 5.06 and MDaemon.
We are using Imail 4.08 (our 24/7 server) and FtGate (clients, dial-in).
There are more and more moments when our customers (using mainly FtGate)
call us, very angry: can't retrieve mail from our Imail-server.
When I check the FtGate debug log I see "strange" things: after the 'list'
command, FtGate gets info from Imail telling there are (i.e.) messages
2 ....
3 ....
4 ....
Notice THE FIRST MESSAGE IS MISSING?????
Most of the time this happens when the first message contains an attachment.
I have the impression (but I didn't have the time to verify yet) that,
"sometimes", when Imail receives mail with attachments, there is no "emtpy
line" added at the end. And so the next 'from:<....>' is "glued to" the
former message.
And Imail gets completely "'fu@#@#ed up", as do our customers, and ME.
Anyone any idea????
When using web-based messaging, we can see the first (missing?) message,
and when we delete it that way, the other messages can be read using POP3
(using FtGate).
IF anyone has an idea, please reply using e-mail ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).
Since the list-manager in Imail still doesn't know how to add "topics in
this digest" on top, it's still a pain in the @## to filter the right and
interesting messages.... (Can Ipswitch add a "topics" to digest mode
please, PERHAPS I will concider to upgrade to 5x than !
And if no-one has an idea: anyone can suggest me a GOOD RELIABLE Mailserver
for NT ???? URGENT.
