In this case you'll need to run CF(or ASP) on your mail server then....there
is no way to have adduser.exe pass a registry entry to another machine that
I know of...

I only have 4.07, so I can't use the external database feature. Otherwise
Cold Fusion would be a snap. As it is, even with ASP I will have a problem.
I am hoping to use this method, so I can capture all my users passwords for
email, then when I have them I can upgrade to 5 and use that database for
our users. I really don't want to contact all my users and get their
passwords or try to tell them they need to change their password to some
common one.

Use IIS and ASP..... ;-) With an external database it doesn't matter what
is where. As long as IIS can get to the database via ODBC your all set.

I have a mapping to the mail server on our web server. Using that mapping,
(Ex. the H: drive), I type in the adduser command. The adduser command works
and returns that the user has been added...but it adds it to the local web
server registry, NOT the mail server.
I am wanting to use a Cold Fusion template to use addusers, but I am having
difficulties since my mail server is NOT my web/cf server. I can only
emulate the console on my web server, not my mail server. It looks as if I
would have to install a web server and CF server on it and I don't want to
do that.
Any Suggestions?
