Over the last couple of weeks we have had quite a
few complaints of persons not able to retrieve their e-mail. The common
thread in this is that after telneting into the mailbox and listing the
messages, the first message is numbered something other than 1 (2
usually). We then have to rename the index file and then send a message to
the box in order to get it working. My question is : Is there an easier
way or better yet a way to change settings in order to keep this from
happening? Something else that we have found is that most of the
complaints come from Netscape 4.x users, any help would be appreciated as we are
currently receiving 3+ calls a day to tech support to resolve individual
mailboxes.
