I killed my server last march doing a simple service pack that died mid
stream. I restored from tape using far less high tech methods than Backup
Exec. The IMAIL registry (which I back up using the IMAIL admin) was only
two days old and so was the tape. I actually had to restore the whole
thing. It was flawless. It was 4 AM so nobody knew, and only 1 guy called
and said he was missing a message. I use BackupExec at a lot of my
customers facilities and it is very reliable. If I had that my job would
have been much easier. Just do the backups as often as you need, and IMAIL
will go back in smooth. If that is not enough to make you warm and fuzzy
then back up the IMAIL registry too and you are double covered.

PS
Backup Exec needs to have backed up the whole C drive (or at least the .dat
files) in order to restore the registry.
