I usu ODBC to verify user and to me this happening the same, with time
ends up
exhausting the memory and is necessary to begin the service again.

Until someone comes along with a solution... try this.
Remove the service then re-install it. From the command
prompt in the \Imail folder:

net stop pop3d32
pop3d32 -remove
pop3d32 -install

Check you Imonitor settings. If you have them set to
monitor POP3 and Auto-Restart, disable the Auto-Restart.

Check your paging file setup. This has been argued before
but I like to keep a paging file 3 times my installed RAM.
This can be split up amongst different partitions.

What are you using for authentication. Imail database?
ODBC? NT?
