Hi fellas,
Although I don't contribute much to
this forum (mostly b/c Dusty stays on top of 90% of the questions here
<g>), I read the post almost everyday. First let me say thanks to
everyone for contributing. There have been many occasions that I hef
benefited from your input.
To my question: How can I
"SOCKSify OE4 so that it will connect to POP3 through an AS400
Proxy/Firewall using SOCKS? I'm running IMAIL V5.04 with no problems on
the non-secure side. I want the secure client to connect to Imail which is
running on the non-secure side. Netscape works fine, but I believe this is
due to the fact that Netscape Mail/Messenger is SOCKSified when you set Netscape
up for Proxy.
Has anyone used SocksCap (found @
http://www.socks.nec.com/). IBM
Firewall Support mention AutoSocks, but I can't seem to find this product.
If anyone is using something that works, please let me know. Or should I
try a different client? Any input and/or advise is greatly
appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Scott King
