This is not the problem. Maybe I didn't explain it all.
The problem lies within the server itself . If a user has 6 mails in his
mailbox 3 unread and 3 read . The server will return the last 3 messges only
(I've tried it through telnet) . Even when I go to the web interface and
read the first 3 messages , they are still not returned.

Regarding the second problem , what do you need to know about the setup.
