Raymond,
I stand corrected on the timeframe. For some reason, I was thinking it was March when
I purchased your templates, but I was wrong. By posting this reply to the list, I
correct myself.
However, I take great exception to your implication that I should not expect much for
$20.00. You set the price, not I. I expressed suprise at your low price before
paying for it, and told you I would have expected to pay much more. However, in
retrospect, I'm glad I didn't. My expectations of your product would have been the
same had I paid $1000.00 or a nickel. I expected a working product, but received an
incomplete set of templates which doesn't work properly for Netscape users, and hasn't
seen any modifications to address these problems.
As an aside, if you insist on placing relative value on my $20.00, you should do so in
terms of your currency, not mine. 20USD represents substantially more to you in the
Phillippines than it does to me in the USA. It's your responsibility, not mine, to
make sure you're charging fair market value for your product.
My post to the list was simply a warning to others interested in custom-developed
templates, that your product is incomplete and nearly non-functional for a sizeable
segment of Internet users. This is information which may save others from making an
investment (what are you charging now, $99?) in an incomplete product. If, and when,
your product ever sees completion, I will recommend it highly. I might even go back
to using it myself. But, for now, I'm using one of Dusty's nicely done (and
complete!) template sets, which he has graciously provided free of charge to all.
Enough said, my apologies to the list...
Troy

>Troy,
Please be reminded that when posting to the list, you should tell the truth!
You have purchased my scripts on the last week of July to first week of
August 1999! I hope you know your math. It's only 3 months. I have kept
all our message transmissions. As I said, I will work on it but I didn't
give any date. I didn't set any release date, I only told you that I will
update your copy WHEN UPDATES becomes available. I hope this is clear. As
for your anger, you paid me $20 only. So don't expect too much! or else you
can ask ipswitch to make one for you and pay them $20!!!
Raymond

Netscape users. I've switched to Dusty's templates after waiting 7 months
now for Raymond to finish his (which I paid for.)
