I don't know if this has been discussed. I am using Lists to distribute
mail throughout the company. I have a list forwarding to another set of
lists etc.....[company-to state-to divisions]
In a perfect world everyone would know how and when to use lists.
Unfortunately it is being abused and I need a way where only specific users
can send to the list and others can't. This is a company list and I can't
disable it because important information needs to be sent to all
employees/clients.
Are there any other options?
There is a password for moderator-only list but there is no password for
all users. Any one know a way around this. I had it working for a while but
then made changes and am unable to get the same results. I set a password
for the moderator then applied the change then changed it over to allow
anyone to write to list and it still required the password in the subject
field. This would solve all my problems because 1: only users given the
password would be able to post to list and 2: any user unfamiliar to list
would only be able to respond to the sender and the not to the whole group
sometimes saving great embarrassment to the sender
