My web server is a 500MHz PIII with about 128M Ram. It runs multiple web sites, imail and sql server. Currently there are about 500 users per day., but this may increase very soon. My questions are: 1.) Is there a limit to the Max number of reciepants per message which is obtained by dividing the expected number of users by 25. 2.) If the number of SMTP processes is increased to say 50, is it correct to determine the Max number of reciepants per message by dividing users by 50? 3) Is there are a recommended limit to the number of SMTP processes that my server can handle?
