I have set up a load balanced IMail system. The problem is that IMail is not
cluster aware yet. In its currnt version IMail stores most of its
configuration info and the IMail user list in the local NT registry. An
external user database (MS SQL) can be used and MS SQL Enterprise is cluster
aware and can be implemented which will work in a MS Cluster.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Clustered mail storage
Hi,
Does anyone have experience of using Imail in conjunction with a clustered
file store. Ideally we would like to store our email on a raided storage
cluster which will have different shares for each imail server so that it
will provide a hot standby if there is a fault.
Specifically:
Does Imail handle the failover delays gracefully?
Does using a file share impact performance (over 100Mbit switched network)?
Does it require any action to get Imail working again after a failover?
Any insights would be great.
Cheers
Steve
