I did the same. Just export your registry and import it to the new server
w/ the software and old mail directories. I even changed the drive letters
and it worked fine. Had my new server up and running in virtually minutes.

Subject: [IMail Forum] wonders of an upgrade

This is to all of you thinking about upgrading your IMail server
hardware.

Do not fear this move! We have just switched our IMail server
over to a much more robust machine. We handle over 100,000 email
accounts across 18 domains. Needless to say our load is very
high and we could not afford to loose any data. After reading
the documentation in the KB, we proceeded with the upgrade.
Aside from the hours it took to move the data across the wire
form the old machine to the new one the upgrade took about 30
minutes. The upgrade was smooth a perfect. No serious intervention
was needed aside from some registry changes.

Our hats are off to IPSwitch...they made it very easy and stress
free to migrate the mail server from one piece of hardware to
another.
