Figured out the error....this is a weird error because the trial version being downloaded was dated November 10 and the system BIOS time was reset to July by some unknown force and evidently this was causing the access violation listed below.

We set the time correctly to November in the BIOS and everything works great!!!

Access violations are security errors. An Imail service is trying to run or access a component and unable to because of NT permissions. Can't tell you what is wrong specifically, but if you review Ipswitch's recommendations and your directory/file permissions, I'm sure you'll find the problem

Subject: [IMail Forum] Error while installing trial version

I am installing the EMAIL server onto a machine with NT Server 4.0 with Service Pack 5 with NOTHING else on the machine and I get this specific error:

Exception:  Access Violation at  0xc0000005 Address:  0x 00404b55

The weird thing is that the address is the SAME every time....I have re-installed NT several times because I thought that was the problem. Also I have downloaded from ipswitch the original file....nothing seems to make the difference.

Any suggestions? Ideas?

Thanks,
Sharat
