Scott,
Before you can do anything, you must acknowledge the DR Watson
message. IMonitor cannot restart it because the good DR has not yet
released the service (or whatever it does). Neither can you!
If you are running 5.08 patched from an earlier version, did you use
the new templates? If not, there might be some modification in your
templates that 5.08 is not happy with. Are you using templates you
modified? Please save all your modified templates to another
location and run the lastest ones. You should also delete all the
*.par files in the \web directory, after replacing any template files.
You can often use the DOS commands 'net stop service_name' or 'net
start service_name' (service_name being 'iwegmsg' in this case) to
stop/start a service. Maybe even a batch file to do this, if you
continue to have this problem. If you do, then W1*.log file has info
that may be used to help determine what happened just before the
service went south.
