Ever since I got Imail I have been complaining about Netscape's IMAP behavior. I think I can qualify the bug now. If Communicator is configured to move mail into the trash rather than marking it for deletion, filed mail in folders other than the Inbox never get deleted if you put them in the trash. I believe this is because Communicator will only "expunge" the InBox when configured to use a trash can. Manual attempts to compact the folders will fail until Communicator is configured to "Mark As Deleted". Of course the problem is that my whole company uses Communicator and except for the aforementioned behavior I like it too. I guess what I need to do is place an info page on my Intranet that tells people how to Expunge their mailboxes even though I know they won't do it.
