These boxes may have some advantages, but the "total cost of ownership" must always include fast repair and spare parts, both upfront and ongoing, esp for do-or-die real-time "instrastructure" such as Mail functions, which is where equivalent a solution with software running on generic, low-cost, widely available, locally replaceable PC-based hardware has a serious advantage.

If the box is just an rfc compliant box with no proprietary functions beyon admin, then I'd be inclined to achieve those functions with PC hardware.
