In trying to customize the web based templates for Imail 5.09, I've run into
a major roadblock. In the menu.html page there is a tag called
IMAIL.MailboxFolderSummary. I need to find a means of controlling the
output of this tag. IpSwitch's knowledge base states that this tag's output
cannot be controlled. However, I did find a 'hack' for another tag on the
same page called: IMAIL.MenuOptions that allows control over the individual
links that are listed on the page.
I've tried a couple of client-side hacks for the IMAIL.MailboxFolderSummary
tag using JavaScript and HTML forms to parse the output from this tag,
however neither have yielded the results I need. These two methods either
generate JavaScript errors or simply dump extra unwanted output to the page.
IpSwitch programming staff: In your next version of Imail, please provide
some means of controlling the output of tags like this. For some of us
(ISPs), the table that IMAIL.MailboxFolderSummary creates ends up sticking
out like a sore thumb when trying to enhance the page's overall design. At
the very least, consider breaking this tag into several smaller tags that
could more easily be manipulated as needed. I don't think that 6.01 does
this, right?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
Randy
