Seems that the list server ignores all email from any computer that is sent with Outlook 98 (97 and 2000 as well, though I didn't test this thoroughly). I assume this has something to do with the formatting on the headers or something. I sent 2 identical subscribe messages from Outlook 98 and Outlook express. The one from Outlook Express worked perfectly and I can now send messages to the list. The one from Outlook 98 not only didn't subscribe, but also didn't send back an error message. I then added the account through the administrator and I can't post from Outlook 98 even after it's been added. I had a similar problem with the Imail forum a long time ago where for a long time I couldn't even post to the forum. The problem went away, but maybe that was when they upgraded their systems.
