Hi, Ok, so there was a change somewhere along the road where the rules syntax was changed. I have read several mails here, read the latest documentation at the Ipswitch site about inbound rules syntax but I cannot find why my rules are doing weird things. I must be missing something.
I thought I read somewhere that !AND! and !OR! were a problem now, but in the documentation at the Ipswitch site they are still listed as such. The User guide for Imail 8.2 at http://www.ipswitch.com/Support/ICS/guides/IMailServer/8_2/IMailUGHTML/Chapt er%204%20processing3.html states: --------<quote>---------- Multiple condition rule: message_area condition search_text quantifier !AND!/ !OR! message_area condition search_text quantifier: mailbox_name --------<quote>---------- So that syntax is still the same. Where can I find what the changes were. My rules.ima file worked perfectly up until I upgraded from 8.05 to 8.21 this morning. (Which I needed to do because of the buffer bug in the IMAP protocol). Attached my rules as i had them rules-org.ima and what I have in place now. Currently a lot of mails end up in my Declude antivirus folder. The rule for that folder is S~[Declude.Virus]:Other lists\Declude antivirus Now why would any mail which does *not* contain that specific tekst in the subject end up in that folder? Here the headers of a mail which I just send to myself (to get the *.ima files overhere). --------<quote>---------- Received: from MAILHP [127.0.0.1] by mailie.tio.nl (SMTPD-8.21) id A16A02BC; Tue, 23 Aug 2005 11:50:34 +0200 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> From: "Postmaster tio" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: rules.ima;rules-org.ima Date: Tue, 23 Aug 2005 11:50:33 +0200 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="----=_NextPart_000_0005_01C5A7D8.DE76CF70" X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1506 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2800.1506 X-Declude-Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [127.0.0.1] X-Declude-Spoolname: DF16A01A4000005B4.SMD X-Declude-Note: Scanned at tio.nl by Declude 2.0.6 (http://www.declude.com/x-note.htm) for spam.
