This happens if the mailbox contains a virus. The whole mailbox file is
deleted when you activate any filesystem virus scanner on your mailserver
and forget to EXCLUDE the Mail Directories from scanning. You seem to have
no antivirus integration at SMTP level on your Imail server.
To scan mail traffic, use a virus scanner that interfaces with your Imail
server, e.g. Ipswitchs Antivirus or Declude.
I use a mailrelay product in front of my IMail server which integrates a
commandline antivirus scanner.

We are using Imail, and there are many domains configured.One custoemr is
complaining that he logged in and saw 400 mails in the inbox. He igned
out and logged in after 10 mins there were no messages.Al were
deleted. What will be the reason? please help.
