Title: IMail AV

I just moved to SmarterMail (199$ for 250 users/50 domains) with ClamAV (FREE) and Spamassassin (FREE also).

What are they thinking!?!?!?!?!  250 users with Ipswitch would be over 1500$!

And when they called me, they didn’t even seem to care loosing customer.  They’re just opening the door wide so we can leave for another software!

SmarterMail is great!  I ad little trouble with conversion since I’m using NT database, but the folks at SmarterTools inc. were very helpful and everything looks good now.  I just need to put SM in production and shut down Imail.

I received that message from Ipswitch as well.  The $595 sounded good, but when I clicked on the link I found that the unlimited user version was actually $3995.  First my eyes popped out of my head in amazement, and then I started laughing.  I figure that whoever came up with that "great deal" at Ipswitch must have a great sense of humor and is sending out jokes... we shouldn't be taking them seriously.

There are much better products availalbe at a small fraction of the price.  Ipswitch has completely lost touch with the real world.

I couldn't find anywhere to just subscribe to the anti virus - they just keep sending me emails to get the IMail Secure server (which sounds like an ICS alternative) for $595 which includes the antivirus for a year. I'm trying out mxGuard with antivirus and antispam for $99.... so far so good.

I am using IMail v8.21 – AM I still able to buy Imail anti virus for the stand-alone mail server, or do I have to move to ICS to get the Ipswitch AV solution?
