Use Golf cart batteries instead, much better capacity then RV batteries and
made to be run down much lower. Many so-called "Deep Cycle" RV batteries are
just beefed up starting batteries. Wal-Mart/Sams or a regular golf cart
dealer. Best are Trojan. You can also parallel and series them to get as
much runtime as needed. But they are heavier and bigger, 1 is about same
size as regular car battery but only 6 volts so you need at least two.
Get a bigger UPS 1000 or so as the smaller ones wouldn't have the amperage
to charge the golf cart batteries quick enough.
I am an RV'r so this is something I've researched.

Depending on your 120VAC Load, I would suggest Deep Cycle 12V RV
Batteries, Charger and 12VDC to 120VAC Converter.

Well, that is my thought but I wanted to see if there was a package out
there at a reasonable price.
My other worry is how long does the APC battery last being constantly used
and recharged? Generally speaking, from what I know, the battery life is
about 3-5 years and mainly depends on how many times it is on battery and
for how long. That is also the reason I only do a time calibration once
within the first year. Now, if those batteries will hold up to repeated
use
and charge, then I can go with that.

I did this a few years ago ... just got a good cart, an APC UPS 1500 and
a
DELL computer with 802.11b wireless card. Worked great.

I have a client that I need to come up with a solution for 2 portable
computers. Each will need a label printer. Does any one know of a company
that sells portable warehouse carts with computers or terminals? I find
plenty of cars, but you have to supply everything.
